Innovation in maintenance will happen through the strengthening of existing industrial/economic networks by bringing together businesses, policy makers and knowledge institutions in order to share knowledge about maintenance techniques applied in sectors such as automotive, aircraft, production of belts and bearings. A peculiar and innovative, cross-sector maintenance technique will be tested during the project, the adhesive bonding technology, via special events called “road shows” which will take place in all 4 Poyo countries inside the newly constructed “Centres of Excellence”, the most important products of the Poyo project. These Centres of Excellence represent the physical place where innovation takes place and where not only new techniques and prototypes get tested but also where high-level education is provided to give students and trainers the modern skills actually required in the maintenance sector.
