This partnership aims to allow the partners the opportunity to share experience and practice from the business support sector in order to investigate the opportunity of developing together a European wide business support professional vocational career pathway from level 2 to degree level. The project is needed to address the current gap in the career pathway at levels 2, 3 and 7+ that prevents people being able to be formally accredited at these stages. This project will benefit the business support professionals, their organisations and their clients. The partnership is made up of 8 partners, Business Enterprise Support (UK), Birmingham City University (UK), Association des CCI Paris Ile-de-France (France), City of Oslo/Agency for business Development (Norway), Chamber of Commerce Slovenia (Slovenia), Entrepreneurship Coordination Centre (Latvia), European Management Centre (Bulgaria) and Regional Business Federation of AndalucĂa (Spain) whom all have experience in the Business Support sector giving advice to businesses and entrepreneurs and training their staff whom provide this service. The project will take place between July 2009 and July 2011 and will consist of best practice exchange visits, research and mapping of the current baseline provision across Europe and dissemination events used to pull information gathered together to influence regional and local decision makers as well as standard setting organizations and award setting agencies with regards future development of an EU wide business support career pathway.
